ExperienceI have been drawing for as long as I can remember. My first real job as an artist was in a tiny silk screen shop, where I illustrated T-shirts and learned what a color separation was. I have illustrated jewelry catalogs, prime labels, done logo design, and know enough about digital pre-press to have taught several workshops at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. I have an AA in Fine Arts from Merced Community College and a BA in Graphic Arts and Interior Design from CSU Fresno. HistoryFlexo printing: I have collaborated on numerous FINAT and FTA award-winning labels. I have taught several FTA-sponsored seminars at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Cartooning: Daily Collegian 1985-1987. Staff artist and political cartoonist. Honorable Mention in ACP contest 1987. |

Why me?Well, you may look on the sample images on the website for my style and abilities. Beyond that, I have over 26 years experience in graphic arts and illustration. I have a thorough understanding of the printing process and will not deliver an unprintable image. I also have much experience with the nature of computer-based graphics and am intimately familiar with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, the two primary imaging programs in the professional world. I also believe firmly in the importance of a deadline. I don't miss deadlines. My major strengths are heroic, genre-based illustration and cartography, as well as a thorough understanding of pre-press technology. |
